Our story

On December 29th at 11:29 pm, Sullivan Earle came into this world. Immediately after his birth, he was whisked away and placed on a ventilator to keep him alive. Hours passed before I could see or touch him for the first time. There he laid in a tiny bed, waiting for me, and that’s where our story began, in NICU Room 29.

Sullivan was born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), a condition that required him to spend time on ECMO, leading to complications such as clots, stroke, seizures, and damaged organs. He needed oxygen support, a feeding tube, and a cabinet full of medications.

We consider ourselves fortunate that Sullivan survived, as CDH claims the lives of over 50% of affected children. We will continue to share our story and inspire others to be "Sullivan Strong."
